This is a painting of the once almost extinct Plains Buffalo.
Covered in a blanket of thick wool as well as other
very unique qualities these animals were perfectly adapted to withstand the
prairie storms, cold wind and snow as well as the summer sun.
Today their numbers are nearing 2500 living in the
United States and since the summer of 2004 now in Saskatchewan as well.
