Welcome to my Art Classes!

Classes are available for weekend Art Retreats, or individual art classes. 

Students will work in painting or drawing medium of their choice, unless classes are structured in a specific medium such as oil etc.

Students will work individually at their own pace and may be pre-beginners to accomplished artists.

Oil Classes:

1. Canvas, board or stretched Canvas

2. Brushes: 
   One each of the fallowing: One fine liner or trailing brush #1, one fan brush #4: one round liner size 4: One larger blender with round end about ½ inch: One 2in. Household brush. A pack of fine round brushes, usually can get for about $5.00 at Michaels or the $ store.

3. Oil painting Medium #1.

4. An old towel to cover your lap, and a roll of paper towels

5. Brush and Hand cleaner 1 bottle, or a small jar with a tight lid of odorless paint thinner, for cleaning your brushes.

6. Pallid paper, and/or other suitable pallid. 

7. Paints: all colors will be mixed from the three primary colors: Best brand is Winsor & Newton

   1. Alizarine Crimson

   2. Cerulean Blue

   3. Cadmium Yellow

   4. Paynes Gray

   5. Titanium white, Soft white formula

Acrylic Classes and Watercolor:

The same as for the oil classes in #1,#2,#4. #7 the brand for Acrylic is Liquitex

Please note that Acrylic paint can be used as watercolor. If used as water color than water color paper is used instead of the Canvas. You will also need one or two empty margarine containers with lids or acrylic palidbox.

Water Color paint:

Use the same supply list as Acrylic, and any good kit of water color paint, or the three primary colors, and paynes gray and white.

Gouche:

The supplies are the same as for the acrylic paints except the paint is as follows; Brand name is M. Graham & Co.

• Cerulean Blue

• Pyrrol Red (Primary)

• Cadmium Yellow

• Paynes Gray

• Titanium white.

India Ink, or Pencil:

You will need paper, India ink pens, black, or colored & tracing paper.  For pencil you will need several pencils and papers as well as tracing paper.
